Lecturus provides training in computer usage for those seeking a career change or advancement.

We are a team of professors and students, mostly from the Computer Science program at CUNY, who have established a non-profit organization. This organization aims to provide everyone with the opportunity to engage in transformative computer science education.

Lecturus is a platform that offers numerous ways for individuals to develop or enhance their computer skills. We believe that with practice we can positively impact everyone’s happiness and success in life.

Given that training in basic computer applications can be prohibitively expensive, Lecturus offers affordable training options for individuals such as those who have been laid off, retirees, veterans, wounded warriors, people with disabilities, and anyone with the time or desire to learn more about computers.

OUR INTERNS

Having fundamental computer systems knowledge, I found that Lecturus helped me understand things much quicker with their introductory courses. I feel I can move very fast and have the skills to apply to jobs I could not have before.

Lecturus offered me the flexibility to take classes online with great professors. I graduated with a computer system degree. However, I did not work in the field of technology right away and gave me the confidence to start looking for a career change after taking their courses. I am looking forward to continuing and improving my skills with the help of the Lecturus platform.

My tenure at Lecturus equipped me with a deep understanding of CMS development, focusing on WordPress. This expertise has proven invaluable in my international internship involving website development for a media firm. Even though my academic background is in Communications from a French university, the skills I gained from Lecturus have significantly enhanced my professional capability. In addition to technical knowledge, Lecturus also strengthened my communication skills, which have been critical for effective teamwork during my internship. Overall, the Lecturus experience has provided me with practical skills and tools crucial for my career advancement.

I am thrilled to share that I have secured a position as a Data Analyst, a milestone that would not have been possible without the invaluable support from Lecturus. Their comprehensive courses and practical exercises in data analysis provided me with the technical skills and confidence needed to excel in this role. The real-world projects and continuous feedback from expert instructors at Lecturus were instrumental in preparing me for this opportunity.
